  Today we went to celebrate a birthday at this restaurant and had an incredible experience! We ordered steak, which was cooked exactly as requested (medium) and was simply delicious. It’s clear that the dishes are prepared by a talented chef, which makes all the difference in flavor and presentation. The service was impeccable, with a friendly and efficient team. To top it off, we tried the dessert, which is truly homemade, and it was the perfect ending to our meal. The food exceeded our expectations, making it an unforgettable celebration. Highly recommended!

  This is my first visiting to city of Almere. We needed a good late lunch/early dinner restaurant. We were lucky because Meat in the city is a quite busy place next of the city center. The first impression was completely positive the staffs are really friendly and helpful. The menu rich the place atmosphere nice. The prices are correct. My big favorite starters is the Spanish Gazpacho. Was a bit strange the first look was strange because the gradient was water melon and feta cheese what in the Spanish one haven’t. The restaurant leader lady was really kind she bring us to tasting. Was good so I ordered. My wife ate steak what was brilliant I ate Cesar salad. This salad was a giant portion and was exactly rich with everything. So I really enjoyed everything. Definitely we will come back other time too.

  Our favourite restaurant in Almere! Every single time we eat here it is just on point. I have not always had a great experience ordering steak in the Netherlands but Meat in the city restored my faith. The wait staff is super fun and helpful, making it not only good for the food but also for the attention. I recommend the rib eye steak, the chimichurri sauce is muddled in front of you with a mortar and pestle and tastes just like Argentina. The burger is my husband’s favourite in Almere (he is happy to remind me every time). The Caesar salad is delicious but I would say the portion is for sharing if you order as a side. The Parmesan truffle fries… well they are to die for. The tomahawk is so, SO good. Definitely for sharing but I mean… I could totally devour one it’s that good. We go 1-2x per month, usually without reservation and they can squeeze us in, but I think if it gets any more popular we will have to start booking in advance. So happy to have this in Almere!

  If you like meat, 🥩 Meat there is 😁 nice place, food was excellent. We tried Chefs favorite steak, two different kinds of dry aged meat. Chef came to table showed us options, helped us to choose size. It was a nice experience. We had variation of sides, vegetables, parmesan fries, caesar salat. It was excellent. After that we tried pudding 🍰 cake, also very nice. Only downside was slightly slow service, I think two ladies for big busy place are not enough. They were very nice otherwise PS: if you go to 🚽 , it is very far, but there is plenty of signs so you shouldn’t get lost. 😊 Thank you.

  lovely service and excellent food. We walked in without reservation, while waiting we could already sit on a couch. Salad was very refreshing and you could taste the crunchy fresh from the Romain salad. The chimichurri dressing was made on the spot, goes very well with meat. Also good wine selection. Good spot for going out for a date or with friends. Spacious sitting area and satisfying dining experience.
