  I cannot begin to explain now amazing this meal was… exceptional! I know they don’t have a Michelin Star, but I think this exceeded meals I’ve had a star rated restaurants. I’m glad it isn’t, too much hype around those star rated restaurants!! The restaurant is in an old Dutch house, I believe from the 1600s. So cool! They have limited seating, it’s quite small. Be sure to book online well in advance. From the moment you walk in you can tell it’s going to be great! How authentic and cozy it feels. All the staff do a great job to make you feel like family. Our server Harry was amazing. So funny and knowledgeable! Dinner we decided to do the 8 courses. Everything single one was so well thought out and flavorful. The dishes were very unique. We did not do the wine pairing, but that was an option. We just did a champagne to start and a glass of wine during the meal. Also ended with a nice after dinner liqueur. Harry provided great recommendations. I have never experienced anything like this. From start to finish everything was amazing. The food was SO good. I am so beyond I decided to come here and this blew away my expectations.

  My husband chose this restaurant for a special dinner on our first night in Amsterdam. He chose it because of the venue, a house built in 1614, and for us to try Dutch cuisine. We both had the 7 course option, and by the end of it we were very full from all the food! Every dish was special, using locally sourced ingredients and presented beautifully. Each dish was explained by the waiter, who was very knowledgeable and very attentive! The courgette and the milk and honey were my favorite. 10/10 I recommend!

  A very interesting and historic building in the centre of Amsterdam serving amazing culinary delights. We had the 8 course tasting menu with wine pairings.  The food was beautifully presented and full of flavour. Service was very friendly and everything was explained in great detail from the team (in English too)  Not a cheap night out but certainly a great experience for any foodies out there. Many Thanks!

  A magical return to one of Amsterdam’s finest dining experiences This was our second time at De Silveren Spiegel, and it was just as extraordinary — if not more. Every dish from the tasting menu was a work of art, both visually and in flavor. The presentation is next level — from sugar butterflies and edible flowers to desserts served on chilled pillows.

  De Silveren Spiegel offers an exquisite dining experience with beautifully plated dishes that highlight fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The flavors are complex and well-balanced, with an intriguing touch of exotic spices. Originally, we booked the 5-course menu but were so captivated by the offerings that we opted for the 8-course instead. The highlight was the venison main course—perfectly cooked and complemented by a rich, flavorful sauce. Service was outstanding, with Christoph taking great care of our table. He was not only attentive but also knowledgeable, providing excellent insights into each dish. A truly memorable evening—highly recommended!
