  Very nice hostel! Stayed in a female dorm and Rooms were very. Fans to help with the heat and a bathroom for our own room. Only downfall was no curtains on the beds. We stayed on the first floor so was a bit noisy until 4am one night. Staff were super friendly and helpful! The have a great social area and bar and a wonderful kitchen area! Definitely recommend!

  This hostel is located in an excellent area, where you can access all the attractions on foot. Whether it’s Amsterdam Central, Dam Square, the Red Light District, or Rijksmuseum, you're right in the centre of everything. The rooms are tidy, and the linens are neat and clean. You'll find rooms of different capacities, some with attached bathrooms, while others have shared restrooms and shower facilities. The bathrooms are clean and well-maintained, although there is no bidet or Muslim shower. It would be a nice addition if they could install a Muslim shower, at least in 1 sharing toilet 🚻 , as it would enhance the restroom facilities. Each room comes with a basin (face-wash area) and soap, and you'll also find shampoo, tissue, and soap in the shared bathrooms. The beds were decent, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Overall, I would rate this hostel 4 stars. I'm deducting 1 star because the price per night is a bit high.

  A very hype hostel in a great location in downtown Amsterdam. The access to the central station saved me a lot of time to travel around the city. I stayed in the 6 bed shared rooms, they provide safe boxes for your personal stuff and they have extra storage to rent as well. It’s a decent location for the price, you wont have the most private and cozy experience here but it is a solid choice for backpackers or travelers that want to sleep and site-see. They have fun activities every night and I suggest the pool tournament on Saturday or I don’t remember maybe Sunday nights. They rent hair dryers so keep that in mind, the washroom and showers are clean. I suggest the bar crawls as well. Ian Hastings was very helpful there.

  Second time staying at Flying Pig Downtown and had a great stay both times. The beds are reasonably comfy and the rooms are kept clean, the common areas are great, staff is super friendly. The events they do in the hostel are also cool and a great way to make friends. Let’s go Chris best bartender ever ! :p

  The common area was really nice. There was a pool table, bar and smoking room. The placement was amazing, super close to the train station and to the fun bars, city centre and red light district. Only slightly annoying thing: We had our bags in a locker and they had this super dumb rule that you have to pick up your bag before 8. The workers were pretty chill about it and we got them at 9, except for one who got annoyed at us.
