  The food was good from start to finish. We ordered the Dutch pea soup and tomato soup, both were rich, flavorful, and perfect for a cozy meal. The chicken satay, vlammetjes, stew with fries, and the sandwich were all equally delicious, well-prepared, and full of taste. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the beer recommendations were spot-on. The place has a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer and enjoy another round. One quirky and fun detail: the entrance to the toilet is actually a huge pipe. The decor of this place is great. Overall, it was a great visit with delicious food, good drinks, and friendly service. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a cozy and authentic Dutch experience in the heart of Amsterdam!

  Got here just after 7pm on a Wednesday and found a table outside for 1 immediately. It's a very popular place with great view over the canal. I loved sitting there reading and people watching for a couple of hours. I had a glass of wine, a small platter of snacks and the cheesecake for €30. Staff was lovely and the vibe was really cool. Exactly what I needed after a long day!

  Possibly the best meal we had during our week in Amsterdam. Owner and staff were very nice and care a lot for the comfort of their guests. Resident cat is too cute for words. Dessert was amazing.

  We sat upstairs for dinner and had a wonderful time. The food, service, ambiance, and energetic atmosphere was an enjoyable delight. We were a group of 7 and they accommodated us very nicely. Thank you for everything.

  We absolutely loved the good at this traditional venue. First we had a fish platter and burrata as an entry, followed by a cheese fondue with steak, vegetables, and a very delicious meat stew with potato and cabbage. We finished our meal with some delicious strawberries in mouse and a cheesecake. Food, service, and ambience were top! I would highly recommend if you want to try traditional dutch food.
