Excellent ambiance! We did the 5 course (with extra Amuse-bouche to start, and sorbet before dessert- so more like 7!), and were there for about 2.5 hours and we felt like it was really well paced. the food was delicious and creative with excellent wine pairings for each course- would recommend to anyone looking for a lovely evening!

We had very high hopes for this restaurant after carefully selecting a few for our visit to Amsterdam. Most importantly, the food was great and we recognise this could have just been an off day for service. We booked 2 seats at the bar. We arrived and were led upstairs into the corner of a room, which lacked any atmosphere and there was no apology that the seats we paid our deposit for were not available. There was only one waitress that we could see and she failed to tell us anything about the menu when we arrived. We struggled to select our wine as we had no idea about the food, but when we settled on a bottle of red, she then informed us they didn’t have it, but (of course) had a similar one that was €70+. We were hopeful that the concept of the restaurant would lead to use trying lots of local and seasonal foods (but we have no idea if we did), apart from the first dish, where the chef came out to explain to us (great touch!) Overall we left after spending a lot (€220) and feeling like we were massively shortchanged compared to our other experiences in other restaurants in Amsterdam.

Reservation notes are ignored, 6 EUR charged for each small bottle of tap water, +5 EUR charged for an extra slice of bread. Plates? Not bad, not good. They look nice but the flavors are average.

It was indeed a delightful last supper for me and my husband. To culminate our trip in Europe, we went to fine dining restaurant and this is it! The restaurant features a great ambience overall in a two story building with an alfresco area. Surprisingly, a detailed menu is kept as a secret until you each dish is served on your table. What a suspense! And the food presentation is astonishingly beautiful, not to mention, the refined style of meaty flavor from baby lamb and some fish. The staff was kind enough to explain how the food was created and cooked in what ingredients. Everything was on point and the taste was divine. Had it been with a wee bit well-decorated interior, I would’ve enjoyed even better. Delectable.

I expected more. The menu is a surprise so you do not know what they are going to serve you, obviously. Was it bad? No Was it delicious? No The flavours have not convinced me. 2 hours and a quarter for 5 courses, the wait between courses has seemed eternal. The waiter was very friendly.
