Benjamin offers an amazing combination of food and wine, all with a focus on French cuisine. Hospitality is clearly also a central value, as we were immediately made to feel welcome, and I could see the host making all effort to provide great service to the other guests. We enjoyed a lovely lunch on a beautiful summer's day on their terrace. They made accommodations to provide me with some vegan/plant-based courses, all adapted from their menu, and the host paired that perfectly with a range of wines. I received a "steak tartare" based on watermelon: super interesting. The celeriac with cepes was especially good, the highlight of the meal. My fellow eaters also highly recommended the steak tartar with oyster as a main. If you're willing to spend a bit more, you'll have a great experience. I'm sure this is one of the best restaurants in Den Bosch.

Honestly, I have no idea why scores are so high for this place. We were there for lunch and what a disappointment. Spitskool was so overcooked that it was almost not eatable, Fazant was dry and also overcooked, and rib-eye was served almost cold, on cold plate. Maybe we were just unlucky, but still, for that price, service needs to be on the spot always.

We visited restaurant Benjamin for the first time, with high expectations. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We started with cold dishes, including the sea bass and steak tartare. Both lacked depth of flavor and were quite flat. The accompanying sauces were well seasoned, but not enough to take the dishes to the next level. The main courses were better. The tenderloin was a bit plain, while the turbot was better. Still, the feeling that something was missing persisted. All in all, the experience was not convincing enough to return to Benjamin in the future.
