Went for two days package. Hotel is new and very comfortable, breakfast is amazing and spa is new and well made. However, the detail that was unforgettable for me and my boyfriend is a white raven show in a sauna theater. We’ve been to all thermen facilities in The Netherlands, and the show idea wasn’t new to us. However the level of performance, the beauty of story, the atmosphere! It was incredible! Thanks again to these two sauna masters! I am a fan now 😁

We recently stayed in Berendonck hotel, and overall, it was one of the best experiences we’ve had. The spa and wellness area is absolutely outstanding — a wide variety of saunas, pools, jacuzzis, and relaxing areas, all impeccably maintained. The outdoor spaces are also beautifully kept, and the staff throughout the hotel were consistently friendly and attentive. One important detail to know is that the spa area is nudist, which was a bit of a surprise for us, as we weren’t used to that. But it’s very normalised and handled respectfully. Our room was modern, arabic stylish, and well-equipped, with smart technology. Another highlight was a free yoga class offered during our stay. The instructor was incredibly kind, she gave the class in English just for us. The only downside came at checkout: when we received the bill, the receptionist commented, quite directly, that we had “a huge bill”. While it’s true that the hotel isn’t cheap, that kind of remark felt unnecessary and a bit inappropriate. We knew what we were spending, and the comment made us feel a little uncomfortable, as if we had overpaid or were being judged. It was a disappointing way to end what had otherwise been a fantastic stay. That said, we would still highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful, luxurious wellness retreat — just maybe be ready for some cultural differences and double-check your bill with a smile.

This review applies to the wellness centre, not the hotel. They have a great selection of saunas and some pools. All the facilities were great and the other guests were respectful so we were able to enjoy peace and quiet. The one negative was that it is hard to reach without a car. The nearest bus station is a 25 minute walk away, and most of the walk is on a car road with poor visibility. Keep in mind that swimwear is prohibited except for specific days you can find on their website. Bring your own towels and bathrobe or you'll find that the price quickly doubles. The food served in the lounge is expensive but very good.

Our relaxation day was destroyed by the bad quality of the restaurant. The food in the restaurant sucks terribly, only Indian food ? Why ? Not everybody is charmed by Indian taste. Low quality for too high prices. Not with a good customer service, self-sufficient attitude of some of the personnel. Buffet too bad to be true, deadly boring always the same Indian taste. Grilled meat and grilled salmon terribly tasteless. We left the whole dish full. Back to the kitchen. Never this restaurant ever again.

In March, I scheduled and paid in full, as they requested, in advance for a 2 hour massage for a date in June. I then received an email a hour later that the service that I requested is most likely not possible and they will let me know for sure and confirm 6 weeks in advance. Not sure why they requested and accepted full payment if they knew they couldn’t provide the service when I called to schedule the appointment. I’m 2 weeks out and haven’t heard anything so I followed up with them. They now offer me another 1 hour massage with other services later in the day for “my friend”. 🤯 I called and explained it’s just for one person and I wanted a consecutive 2 hour massage. I ended up canceling the entire appointment. They seemed very indifferent upon cancellation and didn’t care. It’s been 11 days and I still have not received a refund! After numerous phone calls and emails, we can’t get in touch with a general manager. Horrific customer service and customer experience!
