  Pastanini is one of those places that truly delivers when it comes to Italian food. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels welcoming—unpretentious, warm, and filled with the delicious aromas of Italy. The food is simply great. Fresh pasta, rich sauces, beautiful ingredients, and that perfect balance of comfort and flavour. You can really taste the love and tradition in every bite. Whether you’re there for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner, it hits the spot every time. Service is friendly and smooth, and the whole experience just feels right—like a little Italian escape in the city. Definitely one of our go-to spots in Den Haag for quality Italian food.

  Beautiful ambiance, great food – but hospitality should match the setting The ambiance is truly exceptional – stylish, elegant, and inviting. The food was fantastic, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The wine was excellent as well. We also really appreciated that we got a table without a reservation at the bar. However, the bar seating we were given was one of the not the best spots, even though other seats there were available. Later, guests who arrived after us were seated in better spots. That alone wouldn’t have been an issue, but it added to the overall feeling we had at the beginning. The bigger downside was the hospitality. Some staff members weren’t particularly warm or welcoming – rather distant. Only a little bit after it became clear that we were ordering a better dinner than Pizza. Final thoughts: A restaurant with such a nice ambiance and food should offer an equally warm and welcoming hospitality – regardless of what guests order to each guest. There is no personal connection. Otherwise it would have been a perfect experience. That’s why I think it is worth to comment it here .

  A hidden gem of Italian cuisine with the best Italian pasta I have eaten in the Hague ! Very tasty original dishes with a modern twist. As a first dish we had the shrimps with a tasteful bisque and fresh herbs and we loved it! Our main dish was the pappardelle pasta with beef covered in a flavourful bread crust and the pappardelle with truffle and Parma ham! Both dishes had really fresh ingredients and top quality meat and Parma ham! We also enjoyed the chocolate lava cake with intense cacao flavour and red fruits and the Scorpino.We will certainly be back soon to try the pizzas!!!

  Absolutely outstanding! A true gem of an Italian restaurant — all the staff are Italian, and you can really taste the authenticity in every bite. The pizza is baked in a real oven, not an electric one, and the difference is incredible. Top-quality ingredients, delicious wine, and warm, welcoming service. I live 70km from The Hague, but I’ll definitely be coming back just for this pizza. Truly exceptional!

  Pastanini seems to be a fairly authentic Italian restaurant. We ordered the Linguine Pesto di Pistacchi e Gamberi and Superdivino. The pesto linguine had a slightly sweet flavor, which was special and interesting. But got a bit heavy towards the end. The lamb was a bit too gamey for my taste.
