  What a lovely place. More than tapas, less than entrees, quite a selection for both vegetarians and meat eaters alike. A good list of beer, wine, and cocktails. All in a great little plaza with nice views and terrific atmosphere. Very happy I got the recommendation for this place. Great for groups, lots to share.

  The restaurant is really nice and elegant. The waitress was kind and understanding when we explained that the food was good (the club sandwich had old bread, cold from fridge curry chicken and bacon). She removed it from the final bill. The burger was average. The spritz aperol was quite watery.

  Last Sunday, our group of ten tourists enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Harper's and appreciated the pleasant atmosphere. We didn't receive our change back and decided to leave it as a tip since we were satisfied with the meal and the restaurant. However, when I returned home to Sweden and was sorting through receipts and expenses, I noticed a significant issue—the waitress had added an extra yogurt granola to our bill that none of us had ordered. I'm not sure if this was a mistake or if we were overcharged, but it was a major disappointment that affected our overall experience.

  We recently visited Restaurant Harper in The Hague for a birthday brunch and were immediately impressed by the beautiful interior and cozy atmosphere. The ambiance is truly charming, and we were initially excited to celebrate in such a lovely setting. While the service was quick and the food arrived promptly, unfortunately, we experienced a situation that negatively impacted the entire visit. I accidentally misread the menu and ordered the eggs Benedict, which came with ham. As I do not eat meat, I politely explained the misunderstanding to the waiter and apologized sincerely, making it clear that I was happy to pay for a different dish. Regrettably, the waiter’s reaction was unnecessarily negative and unkind. His demeanor was visibly irritated, and the way he handled the situation made everyone at the table feel uncomfortable. Although he eventually brought me a different dish, he did so with a tone that felt dismissive and tense. He later made a point to inform the whole table that he had "taken care of it" and didn’t charge extra, which, while appreciated, came across as performative and unnecessarily emphasized. The replacement meal arrived quickly, but by that point, the atmosphere had shifted, and I found it difficult to enjoy the food or the rest of the brunch. What should have been a joyful birthday gathering ended with a sour note due to the way the situation was handled. It’s unfortunate, because the place itself has a lot of potential, but the lack of grace and professionalism in that interaction left us with a very disappointing impression.

  We dined here several times while staying in the city between Christmas and New Year. At first glance looks like another upmarket chain restaurant, but in fact a unique establishment with tasteful Art Deco-ish interior in a lovely location. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the meals we had were excellent (fish cooked to perfection). Not the cheapest place to eat, but worth every cent.
