So fun and very queer. Only queer club I’ve ever been to where I wasn’t accosted by any man. Also great music, and performances. There was decent ventilation, so wasn’t suffocating, as clubs often are, and each floor (there are 3) had a different vibe and music. Highly recommend.

Giving Club NYX 5 stars because, out of all the questionable clubs in the center of Amsterdam, this is the only one actually worth visiting. It’s definitely a hit or miss — some nights are kind of unbearable — but I’ve also had some really great experiences here. The staff has always been friendly and the crowd is usually fun. One thing they could definitely improve: the DJs. Please, no more random people playing the most unvibey, chaotic music.

It's a very interesting 3 floor venue with different stages of music. The kind of music depends on the day, but normally it's a combination of pop, latin music, 90s hits, techno, disco etc. Check their instagram to see what djs are going to play that day because the music is a hit or miss sometimes. I highly recommend getting early to the venue because they give you a stamp in your wrist to go outside and in anytime you want. This way you can hop to the other bars and explore what they have to offer too. Mostly Gen-Z / late millenial oriented. Queer oriented but also a lot of nice and chill straight people. There are lockers to leave your belongings, but you need to pay 5€ for that. There is also an entrance fee of 16€ with no drink included.

last Wednesday some friends and I headed to nyx since it is free on Wednesdays and we had a last-minute urge to go clubbing. some of us went in first while the others smoked, and they were supposed to join us later. however, then they texted us that they hadn't been allowed inside??? we leave and meet with them outside the club, where they tell us they've been told "go find some other club". no reason given. so I went to talk to the nyx people at the door, who refused to take me seriously. "your friends must have been too drunk" they said. this was not the case. moreover, they all had valid 18+ IDs. so I go and talk with the specific people who denied my friends access. again, they don't take me seriously. I feel laughed at, and they talk to me as if I were stupid. "I just want to know the reason my friends were not allowed inside the club." they kept dismissing and ignoring me, as well as being extremely rude. finally one of them tells me, "oh, those three? the blond girl just left the queue, I didn't tell her anything". frustrated, I go talk to my friends, and the "blond girl" tells me, "yeah, I left the queue when the others were not allowed in. I didn't wanna go in alone". this is crazy because it means that the woman was not only distorting the truth, but also that she remembered turning my friends down and still did not give me a reason, making it seem as if there was NONE (or at least not a valid one). we left. my friends' theory is that they look too straight. making assumptions about people's sexuality is ridiculous, and rejecting straight people in what is supposed to be an all-inclusive club more so. and too bad if this is not the actual reason they were turned down, we were NOT TOLD THE REAL REASON. the problem was not even a bad employee randomly rejecting people's entry but how every employee there refused to help me and acted rudely. will not be returning!!!!!

Paid 35€ for entrance, after that I immediately got kicked out by bouncers because apparently I did not use the wardrobe. They did not want to listen that I was not aware of the wardrobe policy. I was rejected entry immediately after paying entrance fee. Did not want to converse with me in any way. Pretty homophobic place. Definitely not recommended. Very rude people.
