We enjoyed an overnight stay here as part of an 'Operation Market Garden' trip. The location and setting of the hotel are wonderful, but we had trouble making a reservation through Booking.com (which we have never had with any other hotel), and our reservation was cancelled without any reason, and then rebooked for the wrong date. The hotel was not able to help us with this problem and we never received our money back. When we rebooked for the correct date and arrived, we found the staff at reception and in the restaurant a little bit disorganised.

I have made a reservation and no possibility to check in untill 22.00. Melda helped me and resolved a problem that at that point to me was very important. Very nice person, calm and understanding ! Thank you !

Horrible receptionist, no communication about policy change, mediocre breakfast This hotel k is definitely not worthy of a 4-star rating: 1. We made a reservation for one room, including our dog. We got a written confirmation that our dog was welcome. Upon arrival however, the receptionist, an older man that hardly speaks English, told us in a rude way the dog was not allowed. When we showed him the written confirmation, he simply stated that there was a policy change after our reservation and that we were called about this one day before our arrival. We politely asked to speak to the manager, who could not be found, after which another employee had to fix the situation. The receptionist hardly gave us a look, acted as if we tried to smuggle our dog in, seemed to be bothered by non-dutch speaking people showing up at this desk (how dare those foreigners come to a hotel!) and never apologized for the miscommunication about the dog policy. 2. We sent an e-mail to bring the rude behavior and the shabby policy change communication to the attention of the management. They’re response was completely off-topic, not addressing messing up with the policy change, or the rude receptionist, but instead focusing on a minor detail in our e-mail. 3. Something we would normally not complain about, but also not four-star worthy; this hotel also serves mediocre breakfast. Dry baked eggs, watery juice, etc…

Much better than expected. It’s a bit off from everything, but 5 mins by car and you’re in the center with plenty of restaurants and bars. The rooms are nice, and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast great, free WiFi, free parking. Didn’t check the pool or outer facilities.

Checked in today Situated in beautiful grounds. Lots of trees and greenery. There is a car park in the grounds. As you approach the hotel it looks quite clean. There is a restaurant with terrace outside the entrance. Greeted by a lovely young man in the reception who politely answered the questions we had of the area. Our room was situated on the 2nd floor and as we entered we were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. It was roomy, quite modern with good size, comfortable beds. The bathroom is big. Beautiful big wash basin, toilet tucked behind the wall but with plenty of room and the shower is big. It has both a rainbow shower and a handheld shower head with an attachment on the wall to hang it up on. It is fully equipped with hand soap and shower gel/shampoo. Towels are also supplied altho we had to search for the hand towels. We finally found them in the wardrobe. Unfortunately, the dustbin had not been emptied. It contained the previous guest’s rubbish, which wasn’t very pleasant to see or hygienic. (The two stars for service are purely for the CLEANING service not reception or restaurant service). Reported the dirty dustbin to reception. Spoke to a polite young lady who apologised and said she would arrange for someone to come and empty it. Someone came within 10 mins. So great service there. However, later on, on closer inspection of the shower, l noticed it was filthy (see attached photos). It was clear that the bathroom had not been cleaned after the other guest left. This has really let it down as nice as the rest of the room is. Nothing beats cleanliness and knowing you are having to take a shower which has not been cleaned is just plain nasty.
