  I’ve had a great experience during the clinical trial I participated in. The staff is very kind, they are really care about you. I’ve so far participated in 2 studies which both went well. Communication is great, information is clearly provided, and the overall atmosphere in the center is comfortable and enjoyable. I definitely recommend giving it a try for yourself! :)

  I was driving a total of 1200km for my medical screening appointment at ICON. Got rejected because the systolic blood pressure had to be over 130 for the trial i applied to and mine was in a too healthy range. No info paper mentioned the systolic blood pressure has to be over 130. If so, i'd never have signed up for this trial, because i know my blood pressure ranges very well. As a result I wasted a whole exhausting day and money since the travel cost reimbursement does not cover the costs. At least they're friendly and the food is good. Though a strange appearance and a lack of respect towards their potential participants.

  I really hesitated to leave this rating because I really liked the stays. Most nurses are indeed very friendly and despite some problems it's quite comfortable to be there. But the communication is AWFUL! You are being promised a lot of things that turn out to be misinformation (including matters regarding the payment) and some employees in the back office treat you like they don't care about you at all in a quite shocking way. It would be very easy and appropriate to solve the problems I've had but ICON doesn't show any motivation to solve them. It actually feels like it's the opposite, like they are actively reducing the service even more.

  If you have been approved after the screening, you never know whether you're reserve or an actual participant. So you basically can never plan these days also parking is really difficult arround. Nurses are really friendly and the food is also very decent. Like I said I would rate more if you'd know before the study starts if you're reserve or not. Other than that, it's a nice place and they pay pretty good.

  I cannot recommend the trials here, in the agreement u sign it says that there is an insurance, but if something happens the clinic put the fault away from the medication and don’t provide the papers for the insurance. One of the nurses drop my phone during blood examination when she was moving my bed and now the touchID is not working anymore , after I asked for papers to report it to the company insurance, the other colleagues are saying that nobody knows her and this never happens. And if u are not from Netherlands it’s really hard to go to court for those stuffs. The staff seems like they don’t care about the participants, we get treated just like subjects. For example in the freetime (outside of the agreed times in the booklet) they just interrupted important calls of me just to tell me some unnecessary things like: “Lunch is in 10 Minutes” that I could read by myself. Very unpolite. Keep care!
