    I recently stayed at Bequia Plantation Hotel , and I can safely say it was one of the worst hospitality experiences I've ever encountered. From the moment I checked in, the customer service was alarmingly poor. I booked their most expensive room, an ocean front cottage. When we got to the room, the view was completely blocked by the restaurant. They said they had no other rooms. I said I would dispute the charge and suddenly they had another room available. It felt as though my inquiries were a nuisance rather than the norm. The exception to the staff was Sherry Anne who was always smiling and helpful. She should train the entire staff. The situation was exacerbated at the hotel restaurant. The waitstaff was lazy and unresponsive, leading to a long and terrible dining experience. I witnessed other guests expressing frustration as well, and it was clear that the staff was unconcerned. I have traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean and understand the laid-back lifestyle. However, the wait time for a restaurant that’s regularly empty is completely unacceptable. The staff stood around and talked while showing their cell phones to each other. We stopped dining there after a couple of similar experiences. My girlfriend and I were not alone with our thoughts. We went on a snorkeling trip with Dive Bequia, which I would highly recommend. While, on board, my girlfriend started talking to two other people who were staying at the hotel. They were disgusted with the staff and were flabbergasted at their hotel experience. Overall, the service was consistently disappointing. The staff appeared unconcerned about guest satisfaction, leaving a lot to be desired in terms of professionalism and courtesy. Given the lack of proper customer service, I cannot recommend this hotel and would suggest looking for alternatives that prioritize guest experience.

    This was such a beautiful spot. It took a plane an boat ride to get to this little protected spot. Although the beauty of the area and water was 5 stars everything else was such a disappointment. The moment we arrived water bore room booked was not a water view at all. The pool was ancient and the grounds unkept! The food was something you could pass on but the worst was the staff. Unpleasant unfriendly and actually annoyed when you would speak to them. I have been to several places and NO I have NEVER experienced such rudeness. Such a great location but highly recommend staying elsewhere. Several other beautiful hotels we found nearby DONT waste your money.

    Bequia was the lunch stop for the Fantasea tour that included Mustique. And it was a very good choice. So here, I am only reviewing the Plantation House Restaurant. While there were about 4-5 choices as part of the tour, my selection was the Curry Chicken with rice and potatoes. The chicken had good island flavor, was tender and bursting with spices. Service was excellent.

    I was informed by the staff I was unable to purchase any food from the restaurant because Sandals guests was coming to the establishment but I can go to the bar and purchasing drinks. My friends and I visiting from NYC decided to leave and head to Mac Pizza and were treated with great respect. Delicious food and drinks. The plantation staff needs to learn from Mac pizza how to treat visitors.

    Bequia Plantation Hotel when searched on Google claims to be a 5 star hotel. This hotel certainly does not operate one. I booked the orchard suite which claims a beach view but it should state partial beach view since the view is blocked by 2 trees. The restaurant is right next to the beach/chairs area. They have a wood burning oven going so the entire time you are smelling the smoke coming from the chimney. At first, I thought they were burning garbage but then I realized the smoke was coming from the kitchen. It's so bad the wind does not help. What's actually worst here in this hotel is the service. I constantly had to flag a server at their restaurant. We literally had to get our own coffee because they never came around to ask if we needed anything. The first day my husband had to go to the bar to get his own drinks because again noone came around. They attach a 10% service charge automatically to your bill so I'm assuming that's why the service is poor since they know either way if they are providing a good or bad service they are getting their tip. When I went to restaurant to order lunch I was told by the server inside to order with the beach server. Since she never came around I had to look for her. When I asked her if i can place an order with her she responded I could either with her or go to the restaurant. But why would I order at the restaurant if I'm at the beach?! I then ordered a drink for myself and my daughter. The server comes back and said she forgot to tell the bartender it's for a child so it has alcohol. Good thing I asked if it was complimentary because it was not. So instead of giving me the drink for free, they tossed it because I didn't want to pay for a drink they made a mistake on. On top of everything, the first day the key cards didn't work. Also, they had plumbing issues so we didn't have water to shower or flush the toilet. I spoke to the hotel's assistant manager to inquire if this hotel is an actual five star hotel because I just really couldn't believe it. I was told it was not that it's actually a 4.5 star. I told the asst manager that they are falsely advertising on Google that it is 5 star. If I have to rate this place it is 3 star meanwhile they charge like a 5 star hotel! I highly recommend not wasting your money here.
