  If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to not enjoy your stay at a hotel that claims to be 4/5 stars, look no further than this charming little nightmare. Nothing screams luxury quite like ashtrays overflowing at the entrance, right and friendly don't bother me front desk ! imagine you're in a country where it rains all the time — seems like offering umbrellas would be a thoughtful and standard amenity, right? Logical, even charming? Not here. At this hotel, that would require someone to actually do something, and clearly that goes against the mission statement. I’m not even sure the staff know what their jobs are. Maybe ignoring guests is part of the training. Everything is overpriced ! never again !

  Although renovations were being undertaken, the rooms a extremely spacious and new, there is restaurant and separate bar, perfect for business entertaining, the food in the restaurant is nice and breakfast also nice. This is well worth a stop at. Alkmaar only 10 minutes away.

  I am absolutely dissatisfied with this hotel, mainly because I, as a hotel guest, was rudely confronted about why I was standing in the hallway, even though there was a shelf with materials to read there. On top of that, despite being a paying guest with a booking for two people, I was forced to wait outside without a jacket because a football team was arriving. To make matters worse, when I tried to go back inside, I was again rudely questioned by the hotel staff as to why I wanted to enter. I mean, I had to stand outside for hours in this weather without a jacket, and then I get treated like this when I try to go in? Naturally, as a guest, I want to enter the building. This hotel clearly treats people differently, and I cannot recommend it at all. I can’t wait to leave this place as soon as possible. Also no flaps on the room And there isn’t even a full-length mirror.

  I stayed at the Van Der Valk Hotel Akersloot at the end of December for one night during a business trip, and I must say the experience was very positive. My room was a "Standard Plus," well-cleaned and very comfortable. The room offered everything needed for a pleasant stay: a comfortable bed, a spacious and well-maintained bathroom, and excellent Wi-Fi connectivity—perfect for someone like me who needs to work while traveling. The hotel is strategically located, easily accessible from the highway, just 20 minutes from Schiphol Airport and about 20-30 minutes from Amsterdam city center. This makes it ideal for both business travelers and those wishing to visit the city. Another highlight is the on-site restaurant. I started with a delicious “Steak Tartare” as an appetizer, followed by the “Saté Ajam”—both dishes were exquisite. The restaurant's atmosphere was also warm and inviting. Overall, I didn’t encounter any negative aspects during my short stay. I highly recommend this hotel to both families and business professionals for its comfort, services, and strategic location!

  Amazing personnel. Very thoughtful and helpful. The restaurant serves very, very fresh and good food. We've been here for a course, and i felt spoiled. I will always remember the service here.
