  My wife and I stayed here 2 nights prior to our Rhine river cruise at the end of March. Bottom line up front: This is an amazing place. We arrived about 6am. Obviously our room was not ready, but they quickly got us checked in and gladly held our bags so we could go explore the city. Upon our return later in the evening, we retrieved our bags and went to our 3rd floor room. It was clean, nice sized and overlooked the canal. Since we had been up for hours we just ate "dinner" from the cheese trolley. Had wine, crackers, meat and cheese. The next morning we made our way downstairs for breakfast. What wonderful selection. All of the food was fresh, and tasty. The open bar was nice with a good selection of spirits and mixers. All of the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

  A great hotel right in the heart of Amsterdam,away from all the noise but walking distance to all the city has to offer. Love the quirky decor of this hotel which only added to its charm. The best thing about the hotel was all the staff, friendly, courteous and very helpful. The room was comfortable and spacious, The only negative in the room is that the bathroom especially the shower needs updating as it looks very run down. What I did find confusing was the cleaning of the rooms as you would get your mini bar etc replenished in the morning but any dirty or wet towels etc were just left there and not touched or replaced until the afternoon, the beds were never made or anything cleaned in the bathroom which is certainly not a deal breaker but I found to be very strange, maybe it's a leave you alone in peace but just ask and we will do it for you. These shortcomings did not put us off at all and we will certainly be back .

  The location and service were good. Do I think the price reflects the rooms/ amenities? No. I also, think there was a lack of room care on an upkeep basis. The breakfast was good, but basic. I would stay here again, but it wouldn't be my 1st option.

  My friend and I went to this hotel off of a recommended sister hotel in Brussels and were highly disappointed. As avid travelers we appreciate excellent value for your dollar. We were highly underwhelmed and frankly disappointed after a morning of travel. Customer serve service was tired and apathetic. House keeping is vacant and cleanliness is clearly not a priority. The lobby had food reminiscent and dishes from previous guests that were there way before we arrived. Don’t fall for the all inclusive concept as the fully stocked mini bar includes water, OJ, one beer and 3 espresso pods (non-working). The bathroom already has hair that clearly is not ours. The overarching vibe is an attempted art deco style.

  Amazing hotel, very warm and charming! Everything is included in your stay from the items in your room bar fridge to the treats and drinks in the lobby. The breakfast selection is outstanding and was delicious....and of course, included in the price! I love coming to Amsterdam for business and pleasure, there is so much culture and beautiful buildings everywhere you look. The Dutch people are amazing, super friendly and they all seem to speak English, no trouble communicating anywhere! I have been there three times now, and will always absolutely stay at this amazing hotel again! The photos below are from my room and beside the canal directly outside the hotel.
