The location was exceptional! Right next to a canal and in the heart of the restaurants and shops around. It was very easy to just step outside and walk any direction you wished. The staff at the front desk and entry were extremely warm and helpful. Rooms are good in size and offer great amenities. Love the color pencils and postcards touch. The architecture of the hotel itself is unforgettable as well. We stayed there for 6 nights and absolutely loved it.

We travel a lot and have stayed at many nice properties and Pulitzer was one of my favorite experiences. It made our trip to Amsterdam special! The service was amazing, everything we needed they accommodated. The room was charming, we booked a family sized room that was quite spacious for us and our 2 kids, not easy to find in Amsterdam. The hotel was so family friendly, and the location was lovely, close to everything but not in a crowded touristy area. I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Thank you to the staff!

I generally prefer to stay in small family run hotels where I can feel at home. That is definitely not the Pulitzer. Whilst it would be unfair to describe it as a large chain hotel, it is nevertheless busy and perhaps slightly impersonal. Pros 1. Excellent location on one of the nicest of the many beautiful Amsterdam Canal streets. 2. Extensive restaurant and bar facilities, many of which are outdoors in a nice garden courtyard. 3. Generally smart and quite luxurious with willing service. Cons 1. Carved out of a number of old private houses and therefore rather rambling and not entirely easy to navigate!! 2. My room didn’t really have a view and the impression I have is not many of the rooms do. 3. inevitably impersonal. Reception has the vibe of a business class check-in desk at a fairly busy International Airport. 4. Amsterdam is expensive so one can’t expect too much for the money. But still, 500 euros a night did seem quite a lot for a modestly sized room with no real view. 5. I like Americans so this is not a complaint, but there were a lot in men in slacks and blazers 🥴😂 So overall, nice if you like this sort of thing. But I think the next time I come to Amsterdam, I’m going to try and find a much smaller, more intimate hotel and preferably one that has a view from the bedroom!!

Everything about the hotel from check in to check out was exceptional. The Concierge, Max Stork, was especially helpful, courteous, and professional. The restaurants were delicious for breakfast as well as dinner. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

We just returned from a fantastic 5-night stay at The Pulitzer and couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. The hotel's distinctive architecture, comprised of interconnected historic canal houses, ensures that each room has its own unique character and charm. Our accommodation was beautifully appointed, exceptionally comfortable, and remarkably peaceful throughout our stay. Waking up to the picturesque canal view from our window was truly delightful each morning. The quality of the bedding was outstanding – from the luxurious linens to the comfortable pillows. We actually inquired at the front desk about purchasing the same items for our home. It's rare to find hotel bedding that rivals the comfort of your own bed. This exceptional 5-star property has earned our highest recommendation for anyone seeking a memorable Amsterdam experience.
