Judging purely by the room and the facilities alone, this hotel deserves a 1 star rating. However, we were pleasantly surprised at how pleasant the staff are and how delicious the food we had were (and that's big coming from a person who grew up in a culture that revolves around great food). But the room is extemely outdated and falling apart. Its like it was built up in the 60s and never got as much as a lick of new paint on the walls. The bathroom's sliding door was even missing one of its doors, it was hilarious (at least to us).

A beautiful hotel with very polite and pleasant staff. The location is reminiscent of a hotel in the middle of the forest which makes it beautiful and definitely worth the walk. The rooms are satisfactory and warm, The facilities are very good and correct, I am a customer who would definitely go back to this hotel, congratulations!

Stopped here for one night as part of a cycling holiday. Incredible location in the middle of the forest with many great walking and cycling trails in the area. We were lucky enough to be there during the heather bloom so on the day of our departure we woke up early and were able to walk a km or two from the hotel to a huge meadow full of heather which stretched on nearly to the horizon. The hotel itself feels a little old fashioned but not run down, we found it rather charming. Our room was fine for the price we paid for it, and came with the added bonus of a small outdoor seating area. Within the hotel there is a small pool, a restaurant and a downstairs bar which has darts, a pool table and a bowling alley. Staff were excellent. We didn't eat at the restaurant but had cake and coffee in the lounge before we left, which was very nice. Will probably stop by again in the future as it's cheap and the location would be hard to improve upon.

Don't expect a 4 star hotel. It was decent for one night. But it's a pity this hotel hasn't had more renovation going on. Pros: - very good breakfast - professional and nice staff - location - bed was comfortable, sheets and towels seemed ok Cons: - toilet wasn't properly cleaned - mold on the window frames - bathroom overall, especially the shower, needs renovation.

Staying this is a 4-star is a joke. It shouldn't even be a 1-star. No one runs the front desk half the time or the bar. Every single carpet in common area and room is stained. Blood stains on the light switch. Dirtiest hotel I've ever seen. Stood at the reception desk waiting for 15 minutes for someone to come, only to find out the receptionist was in the lobby the whole time, saw me, but was too busy gazing at the new automatic vacuum cleaner they have cleaning their stained carpet from the 80s. Also, the old wicker rattan chairs from the 80's need to go also. Slept on the right side of the bed, this is how housekeeping makes the bed. They also threw away all the glass and plastic cups and didn't replace them with anything.
