  The soup of the day was very thick (bread?), tasteless, in short not good at all. The fries were really bad, as if they had been cooked at a low temperature for 2 hours: not crispy at all and very greasy! But luckily, we didn't have to sit on the chair next to us where a dog had left half of its hair on it and on the table... unacceptable! To be forgotten as soon as possible!

  Our recent dining experience at this restaurant was unfortunately marred by subpar service and disappointing food. Despite placing a simple order of one soup and three schnitzels, we had to endure an excruciating wait of over an hour for our entrees. While other tables might have received their meals more promptly, we were left feeling neglected and frustrated. When we inquired about the extended wait, the waiter's nonchalant attitude was disheartening. He claimed to be unaware of our food's status and expressed reluctance to assist, stating that he was unable to expedite the cooking process. Our polite request to check on our order's status was met with a curt and dismissive response, implying that our concern was unwarranted. Upon receiving our schnitzels, our disappointment deepened. For the hefty price of €22.50 each, we were served schnitzels of subpar quality. The meat was dry, and the coating lacked the expected crispness. To our dismay, ketchup and mayonnaise, condiments that should be standard accompaniments, were offered at an additional cost of €2. The combination of poor service and underwhelming food left us feeling thoroughly dissatisfied. WE STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST DINING AT THIS RESTAURANT, as the overall experience falls far short of expectations.

  You can only sit here if u want to lunch or dine which in my opinion is so unnecessary as people like to enjoy the weather on their own discression. Besides that the glasses were sticky and dirty. The staff seemed to be grumpy and totally not understanding. Staff puts wrong dishes on your table and blames you for taking it, unknowingly of the fact that we do not know what the dishes are

  To put is simple, nice place but nothing special. We enjoyed the starter, the main course was steak and although the pepper sauce was lovely, the steak was though as rubber. Typical Dutch steak and not the best quality at that. Can't comment on the rest of the menu but the dishes we had, carpaccio, salad with tuna (canned), steak with pepper sauce and fries and the same blanch, nothing stood out really. Everything was lacking any sort of creativeness. Staff is friendly and attentive, no comments in that department. Being a prime location, prices are not low either, 7.50€ for a bottle of water?!, so I guess there will not be a next time for us anytime soon.

  Good restaurant in the center of Maastricht. The staff did their best to accommodate us and make sure we were comfortable. Although we arrived on a Saturday at noon time, the dishes arrived within a reasonable time and were very tasty. I got the chicken fillet Stroganoff, which was delicious. If you are in Vrijthof square it's worth a visit.
