Very well arranged that you can take the train for 2 euros return in the weekends of December. Saves a lot of parking money and it is even cheaper from Heerlen than by car, just on the fuel costs. This should actually always be the case, it is also better for nitrogen emissions. Trains run whether they are half full or full. This would also mean EXTRA turnover for Arriva, if they would always do this. Because then more people will take the train to Maastricht also in normal weeks, me too by the way. Now I only take the train to Maastricht in December.

Ideal for riding your bike from the parking lot outside the center to the center. There is a guarded, free bicycle shed in the center.
