  Great resort but has its issues. The house buildings have no air conditioning which is a problem for those expecting it. That means sleeping with windows open during heat, and the resort is very noisy with partying adults and crying children. There seemed to be no enforcement of quiet hours. No toilet paper was a problem, and few towels for those spending more than a night or two. Location made it difficult to get in and out of the city. Uber is almost non-existent, and the cab company takes a long time to get there. Rantree restaurant is excellent. Not technically part of the resort but is high end with amazing service!

  The room on arrival was really very cold and given the size of the apartment it took a long time to warm it up. The kitchen lacks essentials like oil and salt but much appreciated the cleaning kit that you can take home. Overall good, very large spaces and very good cleanliness. The pool service is very bad. There`s no indoor entrance, no real changing room, the water is very cold. It needs to be revised. If you don`t have a car change location because the only way to get to the center is by cab (not cheap). I haven`t tried the food services. I would have liked to have seen the spa but unfortunately it was full, I`d suggest granting entrance to all guests given the poor pool. Very fast check-in and -out operations but cold and unemotional.

  You can’t go wrong with this one !! Been going there again and again. Ideal location and extremely well kept. Clean and very well equipped. They have a hidden gem! Their morning bakery is to die for

  I arrived at Dormio Resort Maastricht expecting a relaxing stay—but left within an hour of check-in, without staying overnight. The room was in poor condition. There was a strong, unpleasant smell, like mold or humidity, and visible dirt on the floor. The bathroom had hair from previous guests, and the towels didn’t smell fresh. The bed linen looked used and had visible stains—which was absolutely unacceptable. The whole place felt dirty and not at all like a “resort.” I reported this to the reception and told them I was leaving. They reassured me I could request a refund, but after following up, the hotel refused to take responsibility and ignored further communication. I work in the tourism industry and will be warning travelers not to book this property. This was one of the most unwelcoming and unpleasant first impressions I’ve ever had at a hotel.

  Great place to stay during Christmas. We had a lovely dinner in its restaurant. It located very close to Maastricht and Valkenburg. It would be great if they had a bigger indoor swimming pool but it was not too bad.
