  The city walk was great, the tour guide was really nice and helpful. We didn't really need a city map as she explained everything thoroughly and gave us tips on where to go next if we wanted to continue our day in the city. The souvenirs were nice, they were at a reasonable price, and the staff was super friendly.

  Two stars: Disappointing and unhelpful service I contacted the Maastricht Visitor Center to ask for their recommendation for a good local restaurant that serves traditional Dutch food. I was looking forward to enjoying the authentic cuisine of the region with my family during our visit. The response was fast, which merits two stars, but!!! I was very disappointed by the reply I received from the advisor. Instead of providing me with any specific suggestions or contact details, they simply directed me to their website and listed three names of restaurants without any explanation or description. I went to the restaurants websites and found them in Dutch and after Google translate, found they serve, French, Spanish and Italian food... Those I have at home! I found this response to be very unhelpful and lazy, as it showed no effort or interest in meeting my needs or expectations. I expected a more personalized and informative service from a tourist office that claims to be "the ultimate source of information for anyone who wants to discover Maastricht". I do not recommend this tourist office to anyone who is looking for reliable and helpful advice on how to enjoy the best of Maastricht. They clearly do not care about tourists or their satisfaction.

  Young girl went to great lengths explaining how to get to caves told us No.7 bus which was correct but stop to disembark totally wrong an overall disaster as we arrived over 15 minutes for our booked trip if the fort. The administrator there actually took us into the caves himself to join with the English speaking group. The staff shoul put more effort into what they are paid to do not very happy with the experience and would definitely tell travellers to do their own booking on line
