Excellent and attention to detail. Steak tartare texture, temperature a point. Additional a fried runny egg yolk. Pasta cockles had bags of flavour and clams were juicy. Same applies for the roasted chicken with fries.

Small pub style restaurant on the side street outside central Amsterdam. It was around 26 degrees and it was really hot inside the restaurant so we sat outside. Small limited food menu, but that's not really a problem. Wide range of alcohol and very reasonable prices. (starter) Oyster mushroom skewers: 2 skewers of oyster mushrooms. Has a slight kick to it (spicyness) with some of the oyster mushrooms on the softer side and some on the crispier side. Nice combination with the sauce. (starter) Salmon: nice (main) steak: The steak was nice and juicy. Even though the cut was very lean, it wasn't dry at all. I ordered the steak medium, but it was more of a medium rare. If you want it more pink, then I would suggest medium well. The steak had a lot of tendons and was a bit tough. The bernaise sauce went really well with the fried polenta and steak. Im usually not a fan of Polenta, but the fried polenta was decent. (dessert) Apple pie: served cold and on its own, or you van add a portion of cream for €0.50. The apple pie was from voltkamp, I believe. (dessert) Lemon posette: The lemon posette was quite a large portion. It was really creamy and not overly sour or sweet. The posette has some rosemary in it. THE best bit, in my opinion, was the biscuit that came with the lemon posette! It was a caramel biscuit that wasn't overly sweet and had a nice chewiness to it but not overly chewy or hard. The biscuit is homemade (I asked 😆). I should've asked if I could buy some from them , it was that nice! I would go back just for the biscuit! The lady who served us was really nice and friendly. Service was super fast.

Everything was perfect; the attention, the food, the food presentation and the restrooms were super clean. We were lucky, because we were walking by and decided to make a stop here, without having any internet connection to check the reviews (which we usually do before going to eat anywhere). Thank you for a great experience!

Lovely new brown café, on the Dapperstraat, great service and very well curated menu. Also a favourite beer of mine, Corona on tap! Highly recommend for all types of visits!

A typical Dutch cafe in feel but with surprisingly good food and service 👌🏼 There is music in the front half of the cafe, by the bar, but notin the back where the rest of the tables are so you can choose for more quiet if you want which I very much appreciated 👍🏻. The toilets aren't gendered, they're just toilets 👍🏼 The kitchen is open so you can see the chef(s) working hard and pass on any complements 😀 The service is friendly, accomodating (I was able to switch regular bread for gluten free) and quick. The foods are classics like a steak and fries but with a twist, so polenta fries instead of potato and the meat, mushrooms and polenta were seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The streak tartare was very nice and the, seemingly house made, bread chips that accompanied it were delightful. The steak sandw6on the lunch menu was delicious and went very well with the nori compote and horseradish sauce, the spicy chicken sandwich with sriracha and kimchi my husband thought was very good also. And, as a cherry on top of an already great experience : their coffee is delicious too! Certainly a place I hope to visit more often.
