Stayed at this hotel for three nights. The impressions are generally positive. The room was clean, cozy, with a comfortable bed and a beautiful view from the window. The staff is polite and always ready to help - it’s especially nice that they speak several languages at the reception.

I've been in about 10 different saunas in the Netherlands and this is so far the best one. Huge place, nice location, difficult to explore all in 1 day and great food

I purchased a gift card on 30.04.2025, but it still hasn’t been delivered yet. Over 10 days have passed with no proper update, no tracking number, and no customer-focused communication. I even emailed them to follow up and asked—if delivery would take longer—whether they could send a digital version instead. I also clearly requested that the price difference (including the shipping cost) be refunded in that case. Still, I’ve received no helpful response. This card was meant to be a gift, and the delay completely ruined that purpose. I shouldn’t be penalized for poor logistics and lack of service. If this isn’t resolved, I will contact the consumer protection authority. I share my experience to people aware before they encounter such approach.

DO NOT BUY ‘THE BADENKAART’!! I live in the neighborhood. Literally 3km airline away from the Thermen Bussloo. I have been a client since I think 2012. For years I have been buying De badenkaart. But during 2024 I got sick and my badenkaart had expired. It took me a long time to recover. My long expired badenkaart was almost full, mostly unused. I took a contact with Thermen Busslo and wanted to prolong it, together with buying another badenkaart package. That coulance didn’t happen. I wanted to warn everyone that if you buy a Badenkart, there is a very short period you can ask prolongation for. 3 months. And I wat to warn you that if something unexpected happens, bij higher power and without your intention, de Thermen Bussloo will not cooperate. You will not get a coulance. You are solely carrying all the risk. There is no insurance to cover it. And you will loose your money. When you buy a badenkaart, you will give your money for it. That money is valid forever. You will get a badenkaart that has an expiry date. That is not a reciprocal exchange. And how they go about it, is not client friendly. So do not put yourself in that position/risk firstplace. I think this is a case for De Kassa tv-show, actually. Because, during the years the prices went up and the services got stripped of quality, bit by bit. Old customers who come regularly know and I’m not saying this easy. Long ago we used to get hair masks and body masks as free mini-treatments, short snaps or fruit after the sauna rituals/opgietingen. That was the ultimate feeling of wellness, gastvrijheid and being good taken care of. The reason to come. None of this exists anymore. But foremost food and beverages suffered. The buffet got stripped in choice, mostly in cutlery, meat and cheese. The meat is small portioned nowadays. Available as quick (or slow) the chef bakes it, which delays the consumption. Not enough change (so if you go often you easily get fed up). And the prices went up. Significantly up. A parade of good chefs left. There used to be in general a big stream of employees, witnessing company policies. That people are expendable. Especially cleaning or 0 contract personeel, as I heard from the one to one complaints, get it difficult. Everything seemed to became more and more harsh. As a customer you don’t want to hear that place you come to relax is exploiting their lower ranged personnel. We are not India or China. Before, when you came to the thermen Bussloo, you were able to stay till 23:00. That’s what you paid for. (Especially important for only-evening customers. Bc if you take a dinner in the restaurant too, there is not much time left yo enjoy.) Nowadays, 22:15-22:30 already the personnel goes around warning people ‘to wrap it up’ because they have to check out. And 22:45 all the lights go on. Which feels rude and stressing. You came here to relax and destress. People can look at the clocks themselves. And why would you count checkout as a wellness stay???!!! That is not fair. For years I have been putting up with slow decreasing of the service, but I kept coming bc I like the location and live closeby. But this Badenkart was ‘the drop’ . Thermen Bussloo and the whole group made a huge expansion past 5-7 years. Many new locations opened. It has been financed not only by investments, but obviously also from scrapping from the (regular and day) customers and exploiting lower educated personal and students. Maximize the profit to the cost of it all! Even at the cost of gastvrijheid. Which should be a starting point. As a customer you can vote with your feet: Use your power, go there where your money is appreciated.
