  If you want a great big sandwich but at the same time one with an incredible delicate Italian flavour. Then this is your place to go! Be aware of a long queue, but it’s worth it.

  Overall good place to get your lunch. Long cue, we waited for at least an hour. At least the sun was shining :) no menu, just what they have at that moment. Kind staff, large portions, and a good taste. A bit too salty, a bit too much oil, and a bit expensive, but then again Utrecht city centre and large portions. Recommended!

  I ordered the focaccia with spicy salami, stracciatella and eggplant. It was really flavorful and filling! You could taste it was fresh and authentic ingredients. However, the queue was a bit too long. I would highly suggest to place a menu/suggestions to reduce the waiting time.

  I’ve tried almost every panini shop in Utrecht, and Ombretta is definitely my favorite! The staff is fantastic—they’re always friendly and full of great recommendations. They offer a wide variety of ingredients, so I’m constantly surprised with a new and delicious panini. Knowing this, the 10–15 minute wait is absolutely worth it. I recommend Ombretta to all my friends and family!

  Very warm welcome by passionate staff. While waiting they recommended us a great coffee place across the street and within 10 minutes they made us two surprise sandwiches. Warm bread out of the oven, fresh Italian ingredients and an awesome experience. Five stars!!
