  Warning to Rabobank customers: scandalous practices and misplaced investments It is with great surprise and anger that I share my recent experience with Rabobank. My account was terminated without any warning, while I never received a letter or notification about this. And no, it cannot be a problem with the post – we have been living at the same address since 2012 and have never had any problems. Where my wife received a proper notice of termination, including the opportunity to arrange everything, my account was simply closed. No time to transfer direct debits or income. This is not only scandalously unprofessional, but also extremely damaging. And as if that were not enough, my family is treated by this bank as if we would facilitate criminal activities, money laundering or worse. This while Rabobank itself invests in companies that contribute to the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories. According to the report by The Rights Forum, Rabobank continues to facilitate these international human rights violations. Land theft, destruction of Palestinian infrastructure and forced relocations are indirectly supported by these investments. This is a blatant violation of international law and is diametrically opposed to the sustainable and social values ​​that Rabobank claims to uphold. Customers deserve respect, transparency and honesty. What Rabobank shows is the opposite.   What a hopeless bank, been a customer for over 20 years. I deposit loose money twice a year and get a letter asking if I can justify it. Uhhh well no actually not. It's just loose money saved with the family, deposits on empty bottles etc etc. Or if I have receipts for that. I don't. And now after 1 year of nagging and emailing from their side I'm in ''offboarding'', they are going to end the customer relationship. Too bad, I've been with another bank for 30 years so no problem. Just read that they are getting rid of 10,000 customers a month because of these ''investigations but money laundering practices''. Yeah, I'm a real criminal apparently. Good luck Rabobank!
