  I went to Mantel Rotterdam for the first time in February, mainly asking them for advice about which of home-trainer to purchase. Lars kindly helped me make a decision after trying out a model and the software. I eventually bought it via their website and I can say I very happy with it! This is a huge store with a wide array of bikes, clothing of excellent quality and accessories, there's even with a small place to take a coffee. 100% recommended!

  Avoid Mantel at all costs—awful service and borderline fraudulent practices. We purchased an electric bike, and just four months in, it started having serious issues. When we contacted their service department, they refused to cover the repair under insurance, claiming it was just "normal wear and tear." Seriously? After only four months of basic commuting to work? Instead of taking responsibility, they tried to shift the blame, telling us that it wasn’t their fault but an issue with the bike’s components and that we should contact the manufacturers ourselves. Excuse me? You’re the shop. This is your responsibility. In the end, we had to go to another repair shop, where we discovered that Mantel had used components meant for non-electric bikes—clearly a cost-cutting measure. Naturally, these parts wore down too quickly because they weren’t built to handle the strain of an e-bike. That’s outright fraud. Never again, Mantel.

  Big, big store with everything you need for your bike. Very friendly staff. Helpful and knowledgeable. You can try out any bike you want and cycle through the store. It's a very fun experience and as a bonus the prices are very competitive. Glowing recommendation from me.

  Update: despite the response below, Mantel never called me back with the issue, just a couple of emails asking me to go to a local shop and fix it myself on my own expenses :) Customer service is absolutely poor! Disappointed with the service. Hectic and unorganized. Bought a bike, they separated the front wheel and did not give me any instructions, when I tried to place it back I ran into issues and informed them, they did not even call me back to help. So, good store to buy stuff, however the client service in my experience is quite poor --- unless you take your bike there again in person.

  Possibly the worst experience I’ve ever had from a customer service point. Looking at their website, noticed that there were 2x of the Thule Bike trailers in stock so I drove out to the store to purchase only to get to the store and welcomed by untrained new staff who knew nothing about the products on the floor who continued to tell me that there were none in stock so I’d have to order, great order the part to arrive the next day with a note - written by the sales lady - that it will be assembled and they will call me, only to realise I wasn’t getting a call. I drove out there to find the box just sitting there and asked why no one was building it.. the arrogant male at the front desk said “we don’t build things over weekends” whilst laughing under his voice with no follow up solution and just carried on with something else. I will never recommend this place to anyone, why do people work in these positions if they can’t even organise pen to paper?
