  We stayed at the hotel for two nights, just to sleep. Upon arrival, the staff at the front desk were very warm and welcoming. They explained everything in detail and made us feel comfortable right away. When we got to our room, we found it beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. It was truly a very comfortable room. The bathroom was spacious and convenient, and we really appreciated the inclusion of a makeup mirror — a thoughtful touch. The double bed was incredibly comfortable, and we slept very well. However, a sofa bed had been prepared for our two young daughters, and unfortunately, it was quite hard and not comfortable at all. On the second night, we ended up giving them our own bed. The sofa bed solution was disappointing and not ideal for families with children. Another issue was the room temperature. Although there was an air conditioning unit, it functioned in a rather odd way. We were told that the system only blows warm air if the outdoor temperature drops below 14°C, otherwise it blows cool air, and that we should turn it off if we don’t want cold air. Even though it was 13°C outside, the unit was still blowing cold air. We eventually had to turn it off. Thankfully, when we asked for extra blankets, they brought them promptly. Additionally, the lighting at the head of the bed was poorly designed. It was either too dark or too bright to sleep comfortably. We couldn’t really find a good balance. In the end, we turned off all the lights and used only the reading lamp to settle in for the night. As for parking, it was easy and convenient. For a small fee, we were able to use the hotel’s private parking area without any trouble. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay. Cleanliness, comfort, and staff friendliness were excellent. However, we believe there’s room for improvement when it comes to bed arrangements and room temperature control, especially for families with children.

  Very comfortable hotel, welcoming staff, clean and cozy. We spontaneously decided to choose it over a day trip and were pleasantly surprised. Well organized and equipped, even the lobby has a kids corner. For sure we will come back again.

  The hotel is located a bit away from the main centre. It's directly opposite the Erasmus university of rotterdam. 7 minutes walk to the metro- not too difficult! There's a supermarket close by. The Hotel was really neat, & all the staff were super kind. The room was quite spacious with all basic amenities & there was daily house keeping. Breakfast was good with good options ( even for Muslim travellers). Overall I really enjoyed my stay here.

  We booked two room and had arrived early as we were looking around Erasmus University and the hotel let us have one room an hour early so we could freshen up. The second room (our room) was up on the Executive Floor with stunning views of the University and surrounding areas. The beds were very comfy and the bathroom had an excellent shower with Rituals products (happened to be my favourite!) The staff were really helpful and they went that extra mile to ensure we had a great stay. Thank you very much Novotel for such a good experience.

  overall good experience, but service was not that good. we stayed 3 nights and have booked two rooms , the daily room service was poor and we had to ask for cleaning and better servicing every time.
