  We stayed at The Usual in Rotterdam for two nights and were genuinely impressed. The hotel combines modern design with a laid-back, thoughtful atmosphere that feels both urban and welcoming. Rooms and common areas are stylishly designed with clever, well-considered details that show care in both aesthetics and function. Everything feels curated but not overdone – from the lighting to the layout. Sustainability is clearly a priority here, which we appreciated: no unnecessary waste, smart resource use, and a general awareness that never felt forced. The staff were kind, relaxed, and helpful – striking the right balance between professional and casual, which suited the vibe of the hotel perfectly. Altogether, The Usual stands out as a fresh and genuinely enjoyable place to stay. We’d happily return.

  We were so lucky to find The Usual for a last-minute overnight stay after our train was cancelled due to a strike — and it turned out to be such a gem! The moment you walk into reception, you’re greeted with a cozy, warm atmosphere and beautiful ambient lighting. The room itself was spotless and well-designed: plenty of hooks, storage, and thoughtful touches like soap, shampoo, and conditioner provided. The bed was super comfortable and came with a TV, and the shower was large with great water pressure (and nicely separate from the toilet). Honestly, I loved the room so much that I thought, I could live here! It felt like the perfect little apartment. The staff were also really friendly and welcoming — they handle all kinds of guests every day with genuine kindness. Plus, there’s food and drinks available downstairs, and it’s just a short walk to a tram stop that takes you directly to Rotterdam Central. Great value for money, great vibe. I’d absolutely stay here again!

  The room was very spacious, very well designed. We liked the little details they put together to create such a beautiful design. Extremely clean and such an environmental friendly hotel. My daughter loved the loft bed. Honestly I cannot tell how much we liked it.

  We stayed in a 4m² pod capsule with 2 beds, and it was a unique and comfortable experience. The hotel was very close to the city center and everywhere we wanted to go. The lobby was a nice spot to hang any time, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

  Very clean and modern hotel. Close to the centre, shops and other things of interest. Breakfast good and superb coffee! Drinks reasonable . Rooms lovely and beds very comfortable. Love the eco background. Staff very helpful. We would stay again if we return to Rotterdam 😊
