  We had a truly memorable meal at Restaurant Ster. The tasting menu was a real journey – starting with intricate amuse-bouches, moving to a deeply flavourful mushroom tartlet, a beautifully executed egg dish in a light sauce, and a main course that was perfectly balanced with a lovely sweetness from cherries. It's clear there's a lot of thought and skill behind each plate, both in taste and how it looks. The service was also exceptional. Johan, Noor, and Maria were fantastic hosts – knowledgeable, attentive without being intrusive, and genuinely enthusiastic about the dishes and wines. Their timing was spot-on, and their care really contributed to a smooth and enjoyable evening. Restaurant Ster is a serious contender on the Rotterdam food scene. A great experience all around, and one we'd happily repeat. The only “negative” comment I could give is the fact that the hostess that meets you does not speak Dutch where I feel that that is a necessity when working in an upscale restaurant in Rotterdam.

  Awesome place for a fine dining experience. Mostly serves french and dutch cuisine with a limited menu, but the food and the experience is one of the best I have experienced. I loved the Halibut, it was flavourful. They have an extensive wine list and the ambience is quite nice. I had a quiet dinner with my family here and enjoyed every bit of it.

  The food was decent for the price, but the overall experience was let down by the service. One of the servers, Asian man with glasses, came across as arrogant and robotic—no smile, no basic courtesy. He even skipped my shoes without saying a word. When he charged the wrong amount, instead of handling it with kindness or trying to figure it out properly, he kept going until he had to call the chef to resolve it. If you got offers from Amex make sure with the price if you want to add on extra menu. On a positive note, the young boy who explained the food was kind and helpful. If it weren’t for the poor attitude of that one server, I would have given this place 4–5 stars.

  Nice fine dining restaurant, great service but everything went a bit slow, 4 hours for dinner is too long for us
