  We ordered crème brule matcha pancake together with matcha drinks. Everything was delicious. The matcha pancake had matcha cream inside and cookies. Pancake itself was soft. The serving service was very kind and helpful. The cafe is located inside a Japanese market. So while you are waiting for a pancake you can checkout the local gifts. For sure coming back!

  * review exclusively for the matcha cafe * Stopped by the matcha cafe for a matcha crêpe. They had 3 flavours: (1) classic (€8,00), (2) crème brûlée (€9,00) and (3) seasonal (€8,50). The seasonal flavour was forest fruit. I ordered the classic matcha crêpe. It was tasty. Not very sweet. It was a soft crêpe filled with matcha mousse and bits of brownie and chocolate chip cookie. The brownie and chocolate chip cookie tasted a little cheap. Service was slow. We did not mind. However, do not come here if you are in a rush. The server was friendly. She did not speak any Dutch. It was not an issue for us. But one of the customers had a question about the matcha powder and she could not answer it - because she could not understand him and he could not understand her.

  Nishi Market was on my bucket list since a while and I was not disappointed! It is a pink paradise for any Asia lover (especially if you love Japan and Korea!) From Hello Kitty, over lolita fashion, language books, cute accessories, Korean skincare, to BTS merchandise (and so much more!) that store is just perfect. The employees were also super kind and helpful!
