This was my first visit to the island, the immigration officer was not what I expected . As we exited outside the baggage area , there were all the taxis waiting for their customers. Mr.Shugga Shane had my name on his phone , that’s when my great experience in St.Vincent took off. This man picked my mother and I up and gave us a small tour between the airport and our hotel , Beachcombers. Mr. Shane gave us some historical facts and local current events specific to his beloved homeland. All along keeping a firm watch as he guided his SUV taxi through the streets of Kingstown , finally arriving at our destination. A week later as we left the hotel heading back to the airport, Mr. Shane picked us up early , determined to give us an added treat by taking us on a different route to the airport . Again we were treated to more facts about the banana industry , the city of Belmont where he himself was born and other local landmarks. Great experience, thank you so much sir.
