  Healthy breakfast made with locally sourced ingredients. The staff was so pleasant and helpful, It was a pure delight sharing a meal at this place. (Salmon sandwich was our favourite, but their falafel was one of the best I've ever had)

  Nicely decorated. Fresh, delicious food. Highly recommend for their lunch specials. The soup of today was a yummy white asparagus! Would love to come back.

  We went here with a large group of people for a work outing. Het Lokaal is basically a shop and simple eatery that sells and uses only local products, The dishes are very creative and beautifully presented; mostly vegan but they served a plate of meat and fish separately on each table, which I thought was an excellent to please all stomachs ;). I only found that they were a little bland in taste, as if more herbs could have been used (but that's very personal and depends on one's own taste buds). The place itself is in a nondescript area of the city and is like a warehouse on sand, so don't expect a fancy or pittoresque setting. This makes the food all the more an unexpected surprise.

  Really great open restaurant serving delicious locally sourced foods. Great for families or friends wanting to hang out, eat lunch or dinner together. Cutest thing was the little welcome sign with my name on our table. Their soups are great, home made bread is amazing, and we loved the desserts as well as the cookies! Service was also very attentive and friendly! The adjacent little shop features yummy veggies, sauces, cheeses, breads, pastries, sweets, and other great locally sourced gems. Highly recommend! Parking was kinda hard to find as Google Maps didn’t properly direct us there, but there is parking on the property. We did see a sign that said the restaurant will move to a different location some time in 2024…

  Very nice atmosphere and had just a coffee so can’t say much about food but the menu looked great! However, we had bought some baked goods from their bakery in the same building (literally connected to the restaurant) which we wanted to have with coffee and were told it is not allowed.. place was half empty and we also wanted to get some drinks, felt a bit silly being told that we are supposed eat them at home:D
