  The hostel has a very easygoing and friendly atmosphere, and the entire staff is incredibly kind. A special thanks to Alfy for his sweetness and great sense of humor, to Patrick for giving me great tips on what to see in Zaandam, and to Coco, who was always working with such a nice smile. The room I stayed in was always clean and smelled nice, thanks to the lovely volunteers—super friendly and kind as well. The lockers are spacious and feel very safe, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. I also spent many lovely evenings chatting with friendly, sociable people by the big window overlooking the canal. Of course, with so many people around, it’s not always possible to keep everything spotless, but overall I can only recommend this hostel. Thank you all 💕

  For the first hostel I’ve ever stayed in this one was ideal. It was a fair price, felt very safe and was extremely clean including the toilets, showers and kitchen as well as common spaces and rooms.The staff were lovely and very helpful throughout all hours. The lockers in the rooms were handy with number key code you are able to set at the start of your stay and felt very secure. I had a good two nights in a comfy bed. We were in a room with lots of people but the curtains on your pods allowed for some privacy. The location is just outside of Amsterdam but easy enough to get transport in with regular trains and buses. Zaandam itself is also lovely with shops and a square full of restaurants.

  Great location in Zaandam as a bit closer to the windmills and the sea and the tulips than Amsterdam itself and certainly quieter. Rooms don’t have locks but seemed perfectly safe as there are v big lockers. Staff very friendly. Zaandam itself is nice and the hostel is near lots of restaurants. Beds were comfortable and price reasonable

  The hostel is really good! The pods are comfy and clean. The stall is really kind, courteous and helpful. Especially I appreciate Coco when she explained and give me advice to settle in Amsterdam. The most interesting in the hostal is the connection with people and making planes.

  We had a great stay at CityTrip Zaandam during our recent trip to Amsterdam. The pods/rooms are clean and the hostel itself has a great atmosphere. The staff were super friendly - shout out to Hamish and Alfie who were really helpful and provided great recommendations for the area!
