I’m very frustrated with the Maastricht ABN AMRO banking service. It seems out of touch with the current standards of excellent customer service. It’s ironic to see such POOR SERVICES in today’s world. My experience has been very bad, and I cannot recommend this service to anyone. I will close my account for good..

The worst banking experience I ever had in my life. First, nothing can be done at a branch. You need an appointment (if you are an American), which can be 2-3 weeks away. Second, when you come for your appointment, a security guy jumps in front of you preventing from entering. What is he protecting? I actually ignored him and proceeded to the counter person, however, then he approached me and told me to first tell me why I'm here. Why does someone come to a bank!? to rob it?! to manage their account?! Third, after 2 months I still don't have access to my account or anything. Fourth, to activate the app, you need an e-dentifier, which seems to require an online account, which requires an e-dentifier to set up. I had no idea how to go about it. It has been two and a half months since I opened the account and I still don't have access to the account. I wonder if this is the standard process or I'm simply very, very unlucky. I wish I had chosen another bank. I also wish I could give a zero star.

Utter utter lack of respect for the clients. I have been a client for 3 years, but I am changing the bank. Unprofessional, complete lack of flexibility. I am coming from 30 kms with an appointment and they tell me it is not the right appointment, like I was in charge of selecting the right type of appointment on their system. After that, they tell me to request another appointment that will probably be possible in 2 weeks...

Worst possible bank ever. They lie to you without any problem. They don t justify their refusals for your loan requests. This is not a bank. ABN offers no service to their customers. Only takes their money. If you are an expat, just choose something else. ING, or RaboBank. You ll thank me for the correct choice ; ) .

One star is the biggest compliment they will get from me. And don't you dare go out of your way to find this bank, as it is a bank without an ATM. That's right, they'll take your money, but you ain't getting it back. And then walk across the city to another ABN machine, and guess what, out of order. Joke of a bank, if you can call it that.
