A complete disappointment from a store that represents a brand like Vodafone 1-star review Last Saturday morning, I went to this Vodafone Ziggo store to buy a cable and an adapter for my phone. When I got home, I discovered the cable didn’t work. On Sunday afternoon, around 4:30 PM, I returned to the store to report the issue. All staff members were busy, except for one—tall, unshaven, with messy blond-brown hair, sitting in the back of the store. I mention this because I want the person I dealt with to be clearly identified. I explained the issue: the cable didn’t work with my phone. He tested it—confirmed it didn’t work on my device, but it did on his. His response? “Then I can’t help you, the problem is your phone.” I left, thought it over, and came back a few minutes later. I politely asked, “Can you try another cable on my phone, just to be sure?” He did—and guess what? That other cable worked perfectly. So I pointed out the obvious: the issue was with that specific cable on my specific device—not my phone in general. His reply? “It’s not really how you say it is.” I stayed calm and explained: I’m not asking for a refund. I would’ve been happy to exchange it—even for a used working cable. I just wanted a functional product. But he refused, saying I didn’t have the original packaging. At that point, I gave up. I left the brand-new cable on the counter and walked away. I told him, “Keep it—I don’t care. This is not how customer service should be.” For context: I’ve been a Vodafone customer for nearly 20 years. I’ve signed two contracts at this very store, including two phones and an Apple Watch. I’ve bought cables, screen protectors—spent a lot over time. And that’s the treatment I received? This wasn’t about the €20 cable. It was about service. I walked into your store to solve a problem, and walked out with nothing—because your staff couldn’t be bothered to help a loyal customer with a very simple issue. To make matters worse, when I left the cable on the counter, the staff member didn’t even try to stop me or offer a solution. No apology. No empathy. Just indifference. He looked like someone who’s clearly burned out and no longer cares about doing the bare minimum. I get it—retail isn’t easy. But if you’re unhappy with your job, it’s not the customers who should suffer for it. I genuinely hope someone from this store—or from Vodafone itself—contacts me after this. Because someone like that shouldn’t be the face of your company. This situation was easily solvable. I had already solved it myself. Your staff simply chose not to help. Answer to your answer: First of all, it’s not true that I didn’t have the receipt — I did, and it was clearly visible. Claiming otherwise is just dishonest. Second: what exactly do you need the box for? You can’t resell the item — it was already opened. Unless that’s something you usually do (which, frankly, wouldn’t surprise me at this point). I read your replies to other customers and it’s always the same story: you say “we’re sorry,” but somehow you’re never at fault. No accountability, ever. With a 3.7 rating on Google, it’s clear I’m not the only one who had a poor experience. As for the cable: you sold me one that doesn’t work with my phone. Not because it’s broken, but because it’s not compatible. And I came in to buy a cable for my phone, not someone else’s. Even your own colleague proved that other cables work fine on my device — so clearly the issue is your product. Let me explain it this way: if I buy pants at a store and you give me the wrong size, I return them. Not because they’re defective, but because they don’t fit me. Same thing here. But apparently this simple logic is too much for you. You can keep the cable. It’s not about the money — it’s about how little respect you show to your customers. Rude, unhelpful, and condescending.

We made contract for 2 phone numbers, after 5 days we went back to the store to cancel it, because 1 number internet service was not working and another company offered better price. It turned out customer service forgot to turn on internet. Understandable, it can happen. We requested to cancel our contracts and man in the store confirmed he did it and as internet was not working and numbers were active only few days, we don't have to pay for the monthly subscription. Few weeks passed and Vodafone charged 57€ off my bank account. I called to customer service and woman on the phone promised right department will get back to me next week. Nobody contacted me so I went back to Zaandam store. Man in the store understood the situation and opened a case to credit the bill. Next day I received email that only now my subscription has been cancelled and I need to pay for the month. I went back to the store following day and although man was more or less helpful, he insisted that I will receive my credit, which I didn't believe because email said otherwise. I pointed out that this is not okay, I have been trying to solve this matter already many times and I'd like to receive confirmation when do I get the credit. I was definitely not rude, but said things straight and he didn't like it. He got offended and said I can call customer service if I don't talk nicely with him. After a while, he took time to check the email I received and turned out, there had been another mistake. After many attempts calling customer service (waiting time +40min) and going to the store, I spent so much time trying to solve the simple issue.

We bought a network card here. Vodafone said it could be used throughout Europe and could be used for 14 days with unlimited network. However, when we bought the card and went to Belgium on the third day, it could not be used anyway.never buy any thing here.

I came to this store because Vodafone was over charging me. No excuse, no explanation, they make me wait 1h before sending me away saying they will fix it. A month past get my new bill and nothing changed!!! Reflect well Ziggo and Vodafone services. Incompetent!
