  Last visited July 2023. Stayed here a number of times. The sound level from outside and neighbouring rooms varies depending on the room. The room I stayed at last time was rather loud. Luckily, it started raining and everyone headed indoors. When hotels does everything electronically, they might sound hi-tech but lose all the personalty of the places. The door into the building and room was via a link to a website. Having no staff to meet or contact has its downsides. No power the first morning, tried to speak to someone but think only cleaning staff were around. The power soon came back on, but there was no explanation. Funny that the rest of the building had power apart from my room that morning. I visit Zwollle frequently on business and stayed in a number of places. Time to head back to the other hotels.

  Rooms are clean but on the small size. But for 1 or 2 nights very doable. All in all we enjoyed the stay.

  Besides the location the hotel was a terrible experience. Constant trembling because other people were stomping and slamming doors. Constant talking in the hallways which you could hear throughout the whole building. Would not recommend for people who want a quiet peaceful experience.

  On booking, we asked for a quiet room. On arrival we asked for an early breakfast, this was not possible. When getting to sleep we found we could hear the people in the next room breathing and at 4 am the market-holders arrived to set up their stalls for the Saturday market. Our room overlooked the market (not a quiet room at all). We barely slept, even with the windows shut as there was no air conditioning and the room was baking hot. On complaining, the hotel apologised.

  I apologize, as the hotel had sent a digital check in key, but I did not know is possible. The staff working at the restaurant did check me in easily, in English, and I appreciate that. Zwolle is a cool place, and they DO have rentable electric bicycles right outside the hotel so you can do that with the hotels wifi. Solo travelers like me appreciate the location of hotel Hanze, and the room and bed are comfortable and one of a kind. Thank you for room on top, that was a great sleep
