  Doing the online application for the bike was easy and simple. What was disappointing and the main reason for my low rating is that I had a valid 1 month free voucher which did not work. When emailing the customer support about the issue they gave me a 10 Euro credit (which is not 1 month free as the voucher states). As for the collection of the bike, this was easy and seemless. The bike itself is in perfect working condition and I am enjoying using it. Staff at the Utrecht branch are friendly and helpful and also quite efficient.

  I chose Swapfiets because I was only going to be living in Utrecht for a month and needed to rent a bike. However, even though I returned the bike on time, a week later I received a notification that the ‘initial’ price (€19.90 per month) was different from the invoice (€39.90), and that I would be charged an additional €40 if I did not pay within 14 days. Customer service did not provide a solution. The shop staff are very friendly and efficient, but the price is misleading and unreliable. I do not recommend it.

  The service in the store is very quick and friendly. However, the basic bikes I have been given lately are not up to standards. The first one got a flat tire within a day of me having it and when they changed that one (which was a very easy process - so at least that is good) they gave me one with the rear wheel misaligned so it makes an awful noise. I think the service is nice and I understand that the basic bike is not supposed to be much but it should at minimum be functional and not noisy :(

  Definitely one of the BEST choices I’ve ever made. I used to have a lot of issues with my old bikes, but ever since I started using Swapfiets, I no longer have to worry about any of that. It’s also SAVED ME MONEY — the subscription is cheaper than using public transport (bus, train, and tram), and I get some exercise too. HIGHLY recommended!
