  Indonesian modern, a very unique experience, I loved the vegetarian menu, service was fabulous, explained every curse very detailed, restaurant is located in a very nice area of Zwolle, very nice terrace

  Last visited July 2024 Rather cosy restaurant that makes it special. Recommend by many locals, so I had to give it a try.. Love this idea of set menus. Had a selection of 4 different set menus, and it definitely worked for me. Service was great explaining each dish in English. Take a look at the pics. The next dish complimenting the one before.

  I had never tried Indonesian food before—let alone in a fine dining setting—so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Waber completely exceeded anything I could’ve imagined. The dishes are thoughtful, beautifully presented, and packed with bold, layered flavors. Everything felt rooted in tradition but approached in a fresh, modern way. The German wine pairings were a real surprise—in the best way. They worked seamlessly with the food, especially the Rieslings and Spätburgunders. Service was friendly, knowledgeable, and relaxed, which made the whole evening feel special without being too formal. Waber is something truly different for Zwolle. Highly recommend.

  I just arrived in the Netherlands, and told my best friend that all I wanted was Indonesian food since it’s been years since I had a memorable meal. Little did I know that I was about to have a feast. Waber. is a culinary journey for your eyes, taste buds, and soul. The food is full of love and care, it’s clear the chef loves what she does. My friend had the vegan menu and was mesmerized. I had the non-vegan menu and it’s hard to say which dish I liked the best because they were all insanely delicious. The dessert was out of this world, combining warmth, cold, spicy, earthy flavors to finish an impeccable taste journey. Finally the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was cozy and authentic and whilst the restaurant was at full capacity it did not feel noisy or overwhelming at all. Definitely a must go if you’re in Zwolle!
